The Knit Kit fully warranties all of our Kits against defects in materials and craftsmanship for 6 months from the date of purchase. If you experience any problems with The Knit Kit, return it to your original place of purchase with your receipt.

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it including all additional accessories. It must be in the original packaging.
Unused yarn in its original condition must be in original packaging, and skeins must not be wound. If you wind your yarn, we will not take it back. Unused yarn will be exchanged for a store credit, see further details below.
Patterns, books, needles and accessories cannot be returned but we will gladly replace them if damaged during shipping. We will happily reimburse shipping costs incurred when returning damaged goods, and must be shipped via USPS First Class Mail with tracking number. (You must have a tracking number)
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase from The Knit Kit online store (theknitkit.com), and a written request via mail (The Knit Kit LLC, 1421 Orleans Road PMB 377, Harwich MA 02645) or email (email@example.com). We will then review your request and give you additional information and instructions.
If you purchase a Knit Kit at a retail store: Purchases of The Knit Kit from retailers and other sources will not be accepted and must be returned to the original place of purchase and are subject to their policies.
Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on our observations during inspection and testing.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-10 business days.
If you haven’t received a refund yet, check your bank account or credit card statement as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Items ending in $0.99 are considered sale items and cannot be refunded. Flash sale items can be refunded pending restrictions posted at time of Flash Sale.
Please exchange defective or damaged items not purchased through The Knit Kit’s online store to the original place of purchase.
When you receive your Knit Kit - INSPECT AND TEST! You have 3 days to inspect and test the kit. If within those 3 days you find it to be severely scratched, dented, poorly working, broken, pieces missing etc., we will gladly exchange your kit for a new one. We request that you send an email to email@example.com immediately with pictures and description of the issues as well as your order number. We will happily reimburse shipping costs incurred when returning damaged goods, and must be shipped via USPS First Class Mail with tracking number. (You must have a tracking number)
Furthermore, after the 3 day inspection window, we will only replace defective or damaged items that fall under our warranty for 6 months from the date of purchase. If you find your Knit Kit is subject to our warranty, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to request warranty replacement instructions. A copy of your receipt or an order number must be provided. Please note that the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated exchanges past the "Test & Inspect" period.
Unused yarn in its original condition may be exchanged for store credit within 2 months of purchase. When we receive and accept your yarn, we will send you an email notice of your store credit. Yarn must be in its original condition and not have foul odors or peculiar residues (i.e. dog or cat drool etc). Please note that the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated with exchanging yarn.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. You will need to verify that your product was purchased from The Knit Kit Online Store by providing an order number prior to returning your item(s). Once the returned item is received, credit information will be sent to you via email.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item past the "Test and Inspect" period. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
We are not responsible for non-trackable shipments that are not received.
